McAree Monkeys!!!

http://www.zoeheatherington.blogspot.com

Two little eyes
Discovering what's new
Two little hands
Touching everything in view
A sweet little voice
Asking you why
A mischievous smile
And a whimpering cry
Two little feet
Jumping on the floor
A toddler's mission
is to explore

Amy and Zoe were just that - but doubled!!! Four little hands wanting to explore. Emer and John certainly have their hands full (and another on the way!) But who would have it any other way! These two gorgeous girls were just sparkling with personality and although the timing perhaps may not have been ideal (before dinnertime) it is hard not to capture these girls as adorable and gorgeous as they are! Thank you Emer for coming round to the studio...

Jenkins Family of Five!!!

http://www.zoeheatherington.blogspot.com
Just for this morning I won't wash clothes, instead we will watch your favourite cartoon.
Just for this morning I won't wash dishes, instead we will colour together.
Just for this afternoon I won't watch my soaps; instead we will go to the park and feed the ducks.
Just for this afternoon you and I will snuggle up on the couch and watch a favorite movie and eat popcorn.
Just for tonight I will let you help me fix dinner and I won't yell at you for making a mess.
Just for tonight I won't yell when you splash water all over the bathroom floor.
Just for tonight when I tuck you into bed and we snuggle together to read your favorite story I will hold you a little tighter and a little longer and Thank God for giving you to me.
~ by Misty J. Eades
There is no doubt I have some beautiful and charming faces passing in front of my camera...I am very lucky and thankful for that - and here is a family that emulates just that! I had the gorgeous Ronan in my studio last year when he was just a few weeks old - still some of my favourite images are of him sleeping. One year later and I had the entire Jenkins gang (the new, larger and more improved studio couldn't have come at a better time)

What a wonderful big brother Luke is - and the image of his father (lucky guy right Andrew!!)
5
'Big-Blue-Eyes' Eva is one gorgeous girl just bursting with personality
4

And then little, adorable Ronan - who is not so little anymore! I just laugh when I see this picture of him in complete hysterics! "Rascal" is right!
7
And what I loved the most about this session was just the pure love these three children all had for each other. I made my heart smile and I can only hope my babies end up like that too!

Thank you Lucy, Andrew and the gang for the fun! xox

The Beautiful Shannon Family!!

http://zoeheatherington.blogspot.com/
I guess that I can hold you
one more time before you grow.
And tell you that I love you
so that you will always know.
Please let me tie your shoe again.
One day you'll tie your own.
And when you think back to this time
I hope it's love I've shown.
Can I help you put your coat on?
Can I please cut up your meat?
Can I pull you in the wagon?
Can I pick you out a treat?
Tonight could I please wash your hair?
Can I put toys in the bath?
Can I help you count your small ten toes
before I teach you math?
Please let me help you up the hill.
while you're still too small to climb.
And let me read you stories
while you're young and have the time.
So will you let me carry you?
One day you'll walk alone.
I cannot bear to miss one day
from now until you've grown

What a gorgeous family I had in the studio this past weekend. Rebecca was so full of spirit and character I laughed almost the whole time! Thank you for choosing me to capture the love and fun you all share!

Finally...THE NEW STUDIO!!! Photos...

http://www.zoeheatherington.blogspot.com
What a dream-come-true to finally have my own little studio. Seperate from the house. I don't have to clean the entire house before clients come. I don't have to set up, take down, set up again when people come to stay. I don't have to work around a bed, dresser, sloped celings, etc. I don't have to worry about my kids running in and out and messing it up or taking my props! Yup - it's pretty sweet! It's been getting a baptism of fire lately too - which is fabulous - keep the business coming my way! I had a studio open night which went very well and I hope things continue down the road to success! Thank you everyone!!!

Its hard to beat ikea for shelving and simple decorations!
2
Ok, have to paint the space toybox - but we'll get there...
4
Black backdrop down, roll down the white to use, then roll back up again for black- what magic!
5
Had to display some of my work - yes, Emma and Jack got pride of place (and sizing of canvas, but c'mon, they're great models - and they're my babies!)

Two gorgeous girls!!!

A baby girl...one of the most beautiful miracles in life, one of the greatest joys we can ever know, and one of the reasons why there is a little extra sunshine, laughter and happiness in your world today. -- Author Unknown

I had the pleasure of the Richmond girls in my studio - my first official "new studio" portraits and what fabulous girls they were. It was about a year ago when I took photos of Anna when she was just a little babe and look at what a great big girl she is now! And now also a big sister to the
beautiful Eva. http://www.zoeheatherington.blogspot.com
3
Eva was the best model ever!
What a treat to have her in front of the camera!
6
And the Amazing Anna - It seems like just yesterday she was
posing bare-bummed with her cousins for what is still
one of my favourite photos yet!

Thank you Katherine for bringing your girls to me -
you have such a lovely family and it was a joy to capture their unique personalities!

Product Photos...Fenway and Moose Part Two!

I was asked by Melissa of Fenway and Moose to once again do some photos for some of their adorable children's products for their new website. Of course I was thrilled to! And lucky for me I have willing and gorgeous models at hand to help me out for such circumstances!

Grace was a wee dream in front of the camera -
I think we have found her calling!
She modelled the towels wonderfully!

Once again, Madeleine makes a star performance...
and Patrick was a fab addition displaying the aprons!

And finally Dara who just adored this stuffed replica of "Fenway"
Good luck Fenway and Moose:

Engagement - Autumn Lovin'

When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible. ~Nora Ephron, When Harry Met Sally

How delighted am I to have the opportunity to photograph Nicole and Andrew's wedding next year. Ok, I admit, I'm nervous, but ultimately, incredibly excited! So as a warm up for all of us, we took on some engagement photos this weekend. After days and days of RAIN, the clouds cleared and the sun broke through to an absolutely gorgeous Autumn day. THANK YOU MOTHER NATURE!!! http://zoeheatherington.blogspot.com/

7
Hello...how gorgeous is Nicole - I can't wait to see her in her wedding dress! 8

There's something about this shot, the sun
and the look on their faces that I just ADORE!

but in looking together in the same direction.

Thank you Nicole and Andrew! It was great fun and I hope
you enjoyed it as much as I did.. (even you Andrew!!)

Boys, boys, boys...

It's true what they say - slugs and snails and puppy dog tails...boys are a different breed than girls from day one! Take Jack - Mr. No Fear - jumps into every mud puddle, happily picks up and brings you spiders, slugs and any sort of creepy crawly...climbs up everything and proceeds to leap off it. He is a disaster waiting to happen. My first visit with him to Emergency the nurses told me this would be the first of many bumps and bruises our little boy would encounter in his life. It's true - everytime I look at Jack he has a new bump on his head or cut on his face. Collecting him from nursery the other day this is the face we came across. (note caked blood in hair and up his nose) That's our Jack! And I just can't kiss him enough!! http://www.zoeheatherington.blogspot.com

Emma and Jack playing "Jack in the Box" - Jack obviously not to happy about sharing his box! Emma screaming with delight as she does often!

It is so wonderful to have my own models for photographs at my disposal! I was asked by Melissa of Fenway and Moose (designer of children's products) to take some product photos for their website. Well, lucky for me Emma was happy and willing that day to model - it was a good pay off as I promised her a big trike ride to the park afterwards!
