Hurson Family...

Ok, I'll be honest - I was a bit apprehensive about this family photoshoot of 13. I was hoping for outdoor shots, but the extreme weather conditions in Belfast forced us into the studio - and I was not sure it could accommodate 13!!! Luckily my family were in Portstewart so the Hurson clan could congregate in my house while I snapped away! And with all of the different photo combinations, I think it worked brilliantly! So, thank you to all of the Hursons for your open mindedness and fabulous spirit!

Upcoming Events...

Well although January was a relatively quiet month - February has been making up for it - photoshoots upon photoshoots and coming up is the Coleraine Mother and Baby Fair as well as my Family Photography Evenings at Stranmillis Primary where I will be busy doing mini-sessions...all of this and 7 and half months pregnant, two toddlers, dog and teaching - yup, I'm pretty tired, but it's great fun too!

Emma and I had a fab afternoon at The Fashion Souk in the Ulster Hall and she (and I) fell in love with some of the goods at the stalls - cupcakes and fashion - what more could a girl ask for? As you can see Emma is just delighted with the hairband she picked out! I think it's the sweetest thing ever!

I am just lovin' the gorgeousness that has been in my studio this past weekend! This was quite an impromptu photoshoot - but Karen and Damian were up with their two most adorable children and asked if I could fit them in on Valentines Day - How could I pass up having these two to photograph!!!

Emer has got to be one of the most beautiful girls ever - and she was a complete natural in front of the camera - can I have this one on my wall??

And so loving to her little brother James - just adorable!!!

Although James wans't quite the "poser" Emer was, he is still absolutely "eatable"!!!

Seriously how absolutely adorable is Miss Grace? Big blue eyes, cute-as-a-button nose, curly locks and the sweetest wee smile! She was great fun to have in the studio!

It was a pleasure to have another McLoughlin in the studio - and although at 8 weeks Conor was not as tired as we'd hoped, he was a little darling and he provided me with some wonderful photo opps! It really is hard to beat a naked, sleeping baby in black and white...

And that is Jack - Just turned two and fighting for his place in the world - not an easy task when you have quite a strong minded big sister to contend with - but Jack is learning to fight his corner when push comes to shove (literally!!) Though most of the time, Jack is the sweet, happy little guy we love. Here he is enjoying being the centre of attention!

And what is better than a sweet treat at the end...

I'd say the chocolate goatee suits him

Of course Emma had to celebrate Jack's big day in style...

Winter adventures...

Yes, Belfast had snow - and we tried to make the most of it (it's no Canada, but hey, it was great to enjoy for the short period it stayed on the ground!) The Heatheringtons all rushed out and grabbed our ikea bag (there is never much need for a toboggan in Belfast - how sorry we were!) and rushed to the "slopes". The kids just LOVED it - mental note - toboggans for next year!!!

Then we had our wonderful family weekend in the Slieve Donard - the joy of cousins, swimming and general carrying on finally knocked Emma out! Little sleeping angel...

To finish off a great weekend, we went for a walk in Tollymore Forest Park. What has taken us so long?? It is just stunning there - I would have loved to stay longer, but the frost was nipping at our noses - and every other body part!!!

Because my big boy is about to turn TWO!!! My boy who tells me all the time that he loves me (he also loves the sky, lights, moon, etc...but his "I love you Mommy" does it for me EVERY time!) Is as quick to look for trouble as to apologize for it afterwards. I don't like how fast he is growing up but just ADORE the little person he is growing into.....more on the birthday boy Jack later this week...
