Beautiful Bump

Who will you look like,
How will you be?
Will you look like Daddy or me?
Ten little fingers and ten little toes,
A wrinkled up forehead and a cute button nose.
You will be crying with that first cold touch,
And so will I because I love you so much.
~Wendy Dahlke

It's all blooming in Belfast! Another gorgeous mum-to-be with a perfect little round baby bump.
Ahhh Mary and Barry it's all going to change for you now! I can't wait to meet your wee bundle of joy in a few weeks time. Hmmmm.....boy, girl? Either way it will be so special, so loved and so lucky to be in such a wonderful family.

Mary you look so beautiful, happy and glowing.
Pregnancy certainly suits you - the first of many more to follow?! :)
The wil be one very much loved baby...
Wishing Mary and Barry the best of luck in the weeks (and busy months) ahead!

A Taste of Kerry

"May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you
In the palm of his hand."

~Irish Blessing

A glorious and adventure packed weekend we just had in Kerry. What an absolutely magical and magnificent part of the world. We enjoyed farm life, beach life, body surfing, boating with a resident dolphin, shopping, eating wonderful food, drinking delicious beer and wine, climbing through caves, driving through mountains, looking over cliffs and generally having the craic! Well worth the 5 hour drive!

A traditional thatched Irish farmhouse with fresh soda bread baking on the open fire. The kids loved learning that this is how their grandfather grew up.
Lovin' the beach...
...and the farm...
...and the O'Neill Manor!
AND THE WAVES! My new love - surfing! Can't wait to do it again - what a rush! And the kids enjoyed it too! Thanks Nicole for this fab shot-you're a star!
This trip had the Irish eyes smiling, and the Canadian and Swedish ones too!

Two little cutie pies...

Children: they dance before they learn there is anything that isn't music. ~William Stafford
Ahh, and isn't that the truth. I adore watching children dance to their own "music"...and now two wee ones that keep their parents on their toes as well - the McNeill tots...
Claire and Conor certainly have their hands full with these two gorgeous kiddies! Emily and Patrick are such great buddies which is the bonus having two children quite close in age-despite the chaos that comes with it...
The swing was the only thing to keep this busy boy still...Patrick, you're like looking at your daddy!
Happy, sweet little Emily - love those adorable curls and big brown eyes...
...and more from the studio when we can get the whole family together! Thanks gang!

The Miracle of Life...

A mother's joy begins when new life is stirring inside... when a tiny heartbeat is heard for the very first time, and a playful kick reminds her that she is never alone.

A more beautiful mummy-to-be would be hard to find. Sarah really does glow with the new life she is carrying inside - ready to meet the world in about 6 weeks! We are all thrilled to have the O'Neill baby join the clan of our wonderful extended Heatherington family.
A very lucky baby to have such fabulous parents in Sarah and Ross. Life on the farm is about to get a whole lot more exciting (and busy and noisy and FUN!)
Proud parents....we look forward to meeting you little peanut!

Siblings are the people we practice on, the people who teach us about fairness and cooperation and kindness and caring - quite often the hard way." ~ Pamela Dugdale
And I would say the McLaughlin clan are no different - in the short time I had with them I saw the love and fondness they had for one another, the fun and excitment they share together and yes sometimes it was the hard way! Little Felix certainly was smothered with cuddles from Lucia and Leo! They are a happy bunch and the session was quite simply - fun, relaxed and with 3 gorgeous children, pretty easy work!
Happy little Felix...LOVE those curls!
The beautiful and very smiley Lucia...
And finally, Leo the stunner with those awesome eyes! I love this shot - I think he was about to grab me - or maybe the camera...)
Thank you McLaughlins and the rest of your gallery will be ready for you on my website shortly.

Oh the places you will go...

Today is your day.
You're off to Great Places!
You're off and away!
You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose.
You're on your own. And you know what you know.
And YOU are the guy who'll decide where to go.

~Dr. Seuss
I really didn't think I'd cry - I was ready and more importantly SHE was ready - but when I left Emma so tiny and shy in her classroom this morning with her thumb in her mouth, I realized what a big new chapter of her life, of all of our lives, the first day of school is. Ok, here i go ~BOOOOOOO HOOOOOO! She may look so grown up now in her little uniform, but she still our baby
Can't keep her still with excitement!
Our walk to school - and what a gorgeous morning for it!
The five of us - all very proud of Miss Emma Heatherington!
Oh - look at that, already time to go pick her up - better run ;)
