My baby just turned 4!!!

A daughter is a little girl who grows up to be a friend. ~Author Unknown

I can't believe Emma just turned four - and all the memories of her birth and her as a newborn have come flooding back the closer I get to this next birth. And she is getting so "mature". She makes me laugh so hard sometimes - especially when I say things differenlty because of my Canadian accent "that's not how you say it Mummy, are you confused?" Or my personal favourite is when I try to correct her tenses and she replies -"that's just because your Canadian". She has an answer for everything. She was thrilled to be centre of attention at her party and get all dressed up. As exhausting as it was to throw a party for 20 children a week before giving birth, it was well worth it to see the fun she had...and when I asked her what her favourite part was? Having everyone sing happy birthday to her. My baby.

And my big girl is now ready to have another little brother or sister to love and care for...only two more days to go and we meet the newest addition to our Heatherington clan-CAN'T WAIT!!!

Now Presenting...2010's Lady Captain of Balmoral Golf Club!

They say golf is like life, but don't believe them. Golf is more complicated than that. ~Gardner Dickinson

I had the pleasure today of photographing the beautiful and oh so talented new Lady Captain of Balmoral Golf Club. Lucky for me she was also my beautiful and oh so talented Mother-in-Law!!! Rosarie Heatherington. Away we walked (ok, Rosarie walked, I rather waddled) over the greens of Balmoral Golf Club to capture some of it's lush scenery for our background. Here are just a couple of the shots we captured:

A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost. ~Marion C. Garretty

So, now this photo session truly is my last before the arrival of the newset H'ton! But it was a great refresher to have this tiny gorgeous newborn to photograph and her big sis...and although Alice wasn't up for sleeping for us, we ploughed on and captured some beautiful moments with this new life. Then there was Connie - not one bit shy and full of life in front of the camera!
Sisters...best friends for life...

HAPPY EASTER!!!

Easter was a busy one this year with another toddler in the mix - we had Miss Rose Lundy staying with us but she really is such a wonderful addition to the clan and great company for Jack! and didn't they just love waking up to a visit from the Easter Bunny - he had left trails of carrot round the house, so we knew he'd been to visit and the egg hunt was great fun!

Then we enjoyed a fab day out at the Easter festival at Castle Ward - the kids enjoyed egg rolling, an easter egg hunt, face painting and a bouncing castle to name a few. We enjoyed the gorgeous scenery and a bit of much needed sunshine!!!

The "Famously Bright" Clara

A son is a son till he takes him a wife, a daughter is a daughter all of her life.
~Irish Saying

So, I am now officially on photoshoot Maternity "Break". I am still processing photos and madly trying to get through orders before the babe enters our world, but I know now I simply cannot do any more photoshoots for the next little while. Bending, sitting, moving, playing, it is all a bit of a struggle these days...But luckily I am taking this break on a fabulous note - with the gorgeous, spirited and sweet little Clara. Apparently the name Clara in Latin means "famously bright". I think it is a beautiful name and really suits this little bright spark! Her smiles just brightened me up and no doubt do the same to her parents on a regular basis! Thank you Maria for bringing your little angel to my studio and I hope to see the adorable Theo in there not long from now! Enjoy your sneak peek...the rest will follow shortly...
