The gorgeous, adorable and spunky O'Connor clan

The fundamental job of a toddler is to rule the universe.
Lawrence Kutner

Two adorable children, two very easy going parents makes for one happy family. The O'Connor's drove all the way up from Dublin to come to the studio and what a pleasure it was to meet them - but whew, are they active! Playing peek a boo, jumping on cusions, climbing stools and of course battling over toys - Emma and Harry kept us all busy during this session, but what fun too. Not a quiet household here, I'm sure.

Do all Emma's have such big personalities?

My Sweet One Year Old, Ben

To become a mother is one of life’s greatest blessings. It is a lifelong event that forever changes you. Becoming a mother changes your heart, your thoughts, and your actions. However, you may soon wish you had a few extra hands. And I certainly wish I did have more hands...Wow, 3 is busy! But how lucky I am to have this gorgeous, sweet, happy little boy in my life. I just cannot believe a year has passed since Ben was born. Each morning, he actually looks older than the last. SLOW DOWN!!! I was on a much needed holiday over Ben's big day, but thankfully he didn't really mind - he was showered with love and celebrations with his cousins and family in Kerry. Look at these cheeks...I could kiss them all day - if he would only sit still long enough!

Boys will be boys

“One of the best things in the world to be is a boy; it requires no experience, but needs some practice to be a good one"

Having both a daughter and two sons has helped me to realize the complete difference between boys and girls even before they are born! My son can't help but throw, bash and stomp things. He finds dirt, scrapes and mischief without even looking for it. He is happiest outside, can easily entertain himself and loves cars, trucks and superheroes. We have not put this upon him - this is within him. But along with this, he is more sensitive than my daughter and gives me more cuddles. He tells me daily that he loves me of his own free will and speaks as though everyone he meets is his friend. Boys are fabulous!

So, I was thrilled to meet this adorable boy. The "cool as a cucumber" Ty O'Neill. Mum and I worked our buts off to produce the smiles - but he was far too cool for our silliness! Oh, but how could you resist such an absolutely GORGEOUS boy?

Millennium Photo Evening

You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him find it within himself.
Galileo Galilei

I always enjoy meeting the new families at different schools in the area, but it is equally fabulous to take photos of the children in my school. The photo evening at Millennium brought in some gorgeous children and an opportunity to have a bit of fun with them different from our everyday teaching. And how adorable are these kiddos!?!

Double Trouble...Two birthdays - one party!

Life has been a bit crazy lately - between teaching, photos, the kids, John's Ironman training and work commitments (I think that's his name anyway.....) I find I barely get a minute to myself. I am not complaining - well not for the world to read - believe me, I do my fair share daily, but it does all take it's toll. This weekend was a busy one for us - we had the Ironman charity pub quiz on Friday (an update on this to follow in the next few days) and then the joint birthday party of our beautiful 5 year old Emma and our gorgeous 1 year old Ben! Didn't I just have these babies - what happened? There are days I am completely overwhelmed, exhausted, frusterated and worn out but I wouldn't change it for the world. I look at my three children and realize how lucky I am and how I couldn't imagine my life without them (but, I am willing to try it for week while I'm in Madrid over Easter - hey, we all deserve a break!)
