I was thrilled to photograph this absolutely gorgeous family - wonderful personalities and such carefree, happy people. I had such fun with them and have been dying to get to these photos (unfortunately, I've been a bit unwell and have had to put all on hold - but getting there slowly!) Funny thing - typical Ireland - by chance my sis-in-law Sarah works with Ashok! In Cork! Small world...Thanks for your patience Athinya and Ashok! Enjoy!

Life is busy!

My two little monkeys just make me laugh and laugh. Emma honestly lives in a parallel world of musicals. Annie, Wizard of Oz and Sound of Music to be more specific (she's toying with Oliver, but doesn't have the patience to deal with the storyline). Her joy in life is to act out the scenes and pretend to be the characters. Right now her favourite is to be Gretle in S.ofM. and climb up the stairs backwards singing "So long, farewell...." And she's good! Broadway - just you wait! We're going to see Annie this week at the Opera House and convincing Emma she's not actually going to Annie's or Miss Hannigan's house is taking some doing. As I said - parallel world! But how uttelry adorable and innocent! And as for our Jack - his favourite thing right now is to say "I love you" but he gets angry if you don't respond straight away "I LOVE YOU!" Oh, and he ends every word in a plural, so it's actually "yous" (which could also be the northern ireland in him...) and the "s" has a lisp so its "th" - "youth" and "mummyth" "daddyth" "memmath" (emma), etc. Very cute. And though I do hope the lisp doesn't stay there for too long, it is adorable now. My cutie-patooties!

The New Studio...a work in progress...

Yipee - I am finally getting my own studio! My financial advisor (ie: hubby) finally agreed to forgo the garage and all of the junk we store in there (as long as there is room for his canoes, bikes, golf clubs, etc) so that I may have my own photo studio! How completely exciting! So now is the time for me to choose floors, doors and furnishings. This is the "process" photo and the "finished" photo will hopefully not be too much longer (I anticipate about another 2 weeks). I will then be having an "official grand opening" of Zoe Heatherington Photography. So, please pass on the news to any potential clients and I hope to see you all in my new studio soon!

Last few days of summer...

My darling boy. He just puts a smile on my face everytime I look at him. The sweetest, cuddliest, liveliest, happiest wee guy. I wish he would stay like this forever.

A few weeks ago we had our neice Hannah staying with us from England. What an absolute pleasure it was to have her and Emma and Jack loved the unconditional love, affection (and patience) she gave to them.

And a model who sits and stays put - what a treat!

A gorgeous girl - inside and out. And those green eyes, fabulous!

Such kindness, warmth and wonderful manners...

If Emma turns out to be anything like Hannah, we will be very proud parents.

Palonen Portraits

Another fabulous session in the fields behind my parents' place. Just a magical location and I am thrilled with how some of the shots turned out here. It does help to have fantastic subjects. Marcia and I lived together many a day ago (let's not mention how many, it may age us!) and how we have all "matured" since then (well, sort of, right Marcia!) Anyways, a wonderful friend and her gorgeous family. Watching them interact was beautiful as there was such love and fun together.

Something about this photo I just adore - caught in the bond of sisterly love.

my baby is growing up...

It seems like only yesterday that my gorgeous little girl was born. She is quick as a whip, funny as can be, loves musicals, can be stubborn and hard-headed, and absolutely amazing! Yesterday began a new chapter in her busy life. She woke at 5:30 am overly excited to put on her school uniform and start "nursery school". Because her dad and I were both working, a bus collected her from nursery and brought her to her daycare centre. A long and very busy day and she loved every minute of it! She chose her new school shoes because they looked like Dorothy's (Wizard of Oz) and apparently was clicking her heels together at school reciting "there's no place like home", having all the staff in stitches. That's my baby and I absolutely adore her!
